Yantai Museum Shandong

The sparkling museum traces the historical development of the Jiaodong peninsula, where Yantai currently stands, from the prehistoric age and successive kingdoms to the present day. There’s a display on the 'Shell Mound' culture (a glimpse at a Neolithic civilisation’s rubbish) and a wonderful collection of rare porcelain. There are reasonable English descriptions.
