While there's nothing to see here now, it was at this site (just behind Ofu Beach) where archaeologists found an unprecedented array of artefacts dating from early prehistory to the modern day. Samoans believe the bush between the road and the beach is infested with devilish aitu (spirits or ghosts), meaning you’re likely to have one of the world’s best beaches to yourself.
