Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street Guangzhou

Crowds march up and down this kilometre-long shopping thoroughfare that begins towards the eastern end of Dishifu Lu. The early-20th-century buildings here fuse western and Lingnan elements, but the discount shopping and street food is thoroughly modern. The clothes and luggage flogged here tend to be cheap, in all senses. You'll find it more pleasant, and the architecture more impressive, further west towards the beginning of Enning Lu.
