You can take a short stroll to (or a short but steep hike above) the 30m waterfalls that power a small hydroelectric power station in the pretty Parc des Chutes, a few minutes' walk from downtown at the end of Rue Frontenac. If you're lucky, on a sunny afternoon, a photogenic rainbow may shimmer across the falls.
