Palace Debbané Saida

Entered from the souq via a tall staircase marked with a sign, this former Ottoman aristocrat’s building built in 1721 has intricate Mamluk decoration, including tile work and cedar wood ceilings, and interesting historical exhibits. It was closed for renovations at last visit but was due to reopen in 2018.
