Padang Kuantan

Kuantan's lovely grass padang – the sight of cricket matches during colonial days – is today largely used for football practice in the late afternoon and evenings (when it is floodlit). It's a lovely place to come for a walk at the end of the day, when it's cooler and the adjacent mosque is illuminated. A night market sometimes sets up along its southern border.
