Drikung Kagyu Gompa Himachal Pradesh

Painted red and purple, this Tibetan-style Buddhist monastic academy for Buddhist monks has a central temple that features a large, central Sakyamuni statue, with Padmasambhava to the left. It's on the lake's southeastern corner. Though commonly nicknamed DK for its Drikung Kagyu Buddhist lineage, the official name is Wogmin Thubten Shedrup Ling.
