Batasia Loop Darjeeling

If you’re travelling on the toy train, look out for this famous railway loop that goes around an open-air war memorial, erected in honour of the brave soldiers from the Darjeeling region who have laid down their lives in the Indian forces since Independence in 1947. Toy-train joy rides stop here as a matter of course. Many road trips to Tiger Hill also stop here on the way back to Darjeeling.
